I bought a piano (Kawai Anytime X upright) from Richard a number of years ago and he has been a shining example of customer focused care. I would unreservedly recommend them to anyone interested in a piano, whether, acoustic or digital, upright or grand - their range in the showroom is astounding!Jeremy I am delighted with the new purchase, and really looking forward to getting more familiar with it, and getting back to regular playing.Every step here has been a pleasure - on top of the excellent service in person, Richard and especially Colin have been incredibly responsive on email and phone to ensure things happened smoothly and quickly. This was on a Friday, and by the following Wednesday, I had the new instrument delivered, unboxed, and assembled at home, and my Kemble taken away by their excellent removal team. Once it was clear I was going to buy this instrument, we discussed and agreed a part exchange for my Kemble.

I made an appointment by email, and came to the showrooms, where the very friendly and expert Colin let me try the instrument out at my leisure, and also demonstrated it himself (he is a very good pianist!). So, if you need you piano tuned or looked at, please think of Rick.As I then proceeded to play it more, I came to realise that good as this piano was, it simply was not "the instrument" for me or for my rather small living area, so I started to look at top end digital pianos, and found that Richard stocks one of the leading models, the Kawai DG30. I found out about them quite recently in an article at the back of International Piano magazine, and was delighted to see that they had relatively recently opened … More a huge showroom in Amersham, close to where I live.My first contact was to get their technician, Rick, to come and tune my upright Kemble piano, and after a couple of emails, we found a convenient time and date, and Rick came and did a splendid job at a very competitive price. I have nothing but praise for Richard and his team at Richard Lawson pianos.
